The Process

How I work my magic

The Brief

The first step is the website worksheet that you fill in so I get a good idea about why you need a new website and exactly what it is you’re trying to achieve.  If we are a good fit and I know I can help you achieve your goals we will have a skype or zoom meeting and discuss the worksheet in depth. Then I write out my recommended solutions in a proposal for you. Once the proposal is accepted and signed we start working on your project.

The Sitemap

In some cases, I’ll build a visual sitemap so we see the best way to structure the information. Here is a sitemap example.

The Prototype

Now instead of trying to tell you what I intend to build and hoping you understand my jargon, at this point I’ll build an interactive prototype in the browser to show you how my solution will work. With no attention to design at this stage, it ain’t pretty, but it gets us close real quick. Here is a prototype.

The Design

When you have sent me all your content (text and images) the fun begins – during the design stage, we get to play with the crayons and colouring pencils to bring your interactive prototype to life to match your brand identity. Here’s the same website fully designed.

The Delivery

Finally, we go underground for a couple of weeks and make sure everything is plugged in and tested before deploying your shiny new website to your hosting server so you can show it off to the whole world.

The Launch

When everything has been tested and is running smoothly we launch! For a month thereafter we are here to help you with anything that comes up and training you how to update your website yourself.
