It all starts with clarity and purpose.


Time to get that shiny new notebook out and get started! Write down your answers to the questions below. There is tremendous power in writing things down rather than just doing it in your head.

START WITH WHY: Discover and communicate your purpose to inspire others.

As Simon Sinek says in his international bestseller Start with WHY:

“You have to know WHY you do what you do. People don’t buy WHAT you do, they buy WHY you do it, so it follows that if you don’t now WHY you do WHAT you do, how will anyone else?”

When you are clear about the purpose that drives your organization you will be able to

  • Connect with your audience in an authentic and meaningful way.
  • Inspire and motivate people to take action.
  • Lead With purpose: Make sure your Why is at the center of everything you do.
  • Think Big: Create a movement that will shape the future.

So, are you clear on your WHY?

It’s not about making money, that’s a result. It’s about all the other reasons. It’s about your purpose.

HOW: Your values and guiding principles that bring your cause to life.

Articulating your values as verbs gives you a clear idea of how to act in any situation: not ‘integrity’ but ‘always do the right thing’, not ‘innovation’ but ‘look at the problem from a different angle’

What are your values? How do you like to do things?


WHAT: The results of your actions (HOW) which are the results of your believes (WHY)


Everything you say and do: your products, services, marketing, PR, culture, who you work with ..


This is where Authenticity happens. And Authenticity is what will connect you with your ideal customer. Authenticity builds relationships, relationship builds trust, and trust builds loyalty.


But Authenticity cannot be achieved without the clarity of your WHY.
